177 Nigerians deported from Saudi Arabia failed to meet entry requirements: Embassy

The Saudi Embassy in Nigeria said travelers recently deported to the Arab country’s port of entry failed to meet its entry conditions and requirements.

The embassy statement said the passengers, who were denied entry and subsequently deported to their original destinations, provided incorrect information in order to obtain visa categories for which they did not qualify.

“The discovery was made after their arrival. The Embassy would like to emphasize the importance of all visitors complying with the procedures and regulations implemented by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

“Furthermore, all passengers are advised to review all documents to determine their compliance with the conditions before departing their countries for the Kingdom.

“This procedure was not limited to Nigerian citizens only; citizens of other countries were involved in the case,” he added in a statement.

Recall that the visas of about 177 Nigerians who traveled to the country on board an Air Peace flight were on Wednesday canceled and subsequently deported on arrival in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
