MANILA, Philippines – Alex Eala is eyeing his fifth International Tennis Federation (ITF) singles crown by defeating Oceane Dodin of France in the final of the W40 Kyotec Open on Sunday (Manila time) in Petange, Luxembourg.
The 18-year-old Filipino defeated German Anna-Lena Friedsam in three sets 7-5, 4-6, 6-2 in the semifinal round after a grueling match that lasted two hours and 30 minutes.
