Billie Eilish she is grateful to be a woman, but it wasn’t always like this.
The seven-time Grammy winner broke down in tears about her feelings about her gender identity speech On DiversityPower of Women event in Los Angeles.
“It’s really hard being a woman here, guys,” Billie said on November 16 during an event presented by Lifetime. “I never really felt like a woman. And for most of my life, I didn’t feel like I fit in being a woman.”
She didn’t know what she was made for. “For a few years because of this insecurity, I was almost very ‘pick me’ and I was like, ‘Well, I’m not like other girls because I don’t do this and that,'” the 21-year-old continued, “and I felt very offended by that period because I’m much more interested in being like other girls, because other girls are fucking tight and I love women.”
