Chicago fire Deadline has confirmed that it will say goodbye to Kara Killmer during the twelfth season of the NBC series. It is not yet known how many episodes her character, Sylvie Brett, will appear in.
Killmer joined the popular procedural series in its third season, and Sylvie has been a main character throughout. Jesse Spencer, who played her love interest Matt Casey, left the series in 2021, but returned as a guest star.
In the season 11 finale, Matt proposed to Sylvie, and at the time we guessed that this might mean Spencer’s return to the show. Instead, it appears the relationship may end in marriage and the couple will ride off into the sunset together. The idea is certainly trendy, as this is how Brian Tee and Yaya Dacosta passed away Chicago Medicine as well as Nick Gehlfuss and Torrey DeVitto on the same series.
What could this mean? Chicago Police who will also lose Tracy Spiridakos? There is no word yet on whether Jesse Lee Soffer will play a role in the departure of her character, Hailey Upton Halstead.
At least fans are still waiting for Taylor Kinney to return Chicago fire I can’t wait.
