Child support platform does not exist – Betta Edu

The Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, Dr. Betta Edu, has warned Nigerians against the existence of fake child support scheme created by fraudsters.

In a statement on Sunday signed by the Special Adviser on Media and Publicity addressed to Minister Rasheed Olanrewaju, Zubair Edu said the ministry’s social intervention programs are well documented in the public domain and are being brought to the attention of Nigerians through appropriate channels.

The statement reads: “The attention of the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, Dr. Betty Edu, has been drawn to the circulating fake child support scheme titled “Federal Government Child Fund of N50,000 for All Nigerian Parents Is Ongoing.” . ‘.

“The mentioned program and the accompanying link are fake because they do not come from the Federal Ministry for Humanitarian Aid and Poverty Eradication.

“All social intervention programs of the ministry are well documented, in the public domain and brought to the attention of Nigerians through appropriate channels.

“The so-called ‘child maintenance program’ is false and is not and will never be any of the ministry’s programs.

“The public is hereby warned that there are undesirable elements behind the fake advertisement and link to the program whose sole purpose is to mislead and defraud unsuspecting Nigerians.”
