In a statement issued on Tuesday, Gusau said the online publication had retracted the story and apologized to Musa, his family and the Nigerian Armed Forces.
He said: “The report is unfortunate, unethical and lacks credibility.”
He said Musa, who had just returned from an official assignment abroad, had resumed work “with greater zeal to continue his extraordinary leadership style to ensure the prosperity of the Nigerian Armed Forces.”
