Never say never. Ex Princes of Gambling stars John Schneider, Catherine Bach and Tom Wopat reunited with fellow cast members Byron Cherry, Jeff Altman and Rick Hurst at Gallatin Comic Con 2023 in Tennessee, where talks of a possible reboot of the popular 1980s sitcom emerged.

Bach starred as Daisy Duke, Schneider as Bo Duke and Wopat as Luke Duke in the hit action comedy-drama series that aired for seven seasons on CBS from 1979 to 1985. The series was inspired by the 1975 film Moon runners about a family of smugglers, revolving around the adventures of cousins Bo and Luke, modern-day Robin Hoods who constantly tried to outsmart the corrupt sheriff and “greedy rich city hustlers.”
The series was not without controversy due to the images of the Confederate flag used in the series. In 2015, TV Land yanked Princes pulled from rotation following Warner Bros. announcement. Consumer Products that it will stop participating in Confederate flag merchandising. Warner Bros. produced a CBS series that featured a car named General Lee decorated with a large Confederate flag on the roof.
The series resulted in two reunion films that aired on CBS: Dukes of Hazzard meeting! in 1997 and Dukes of Hazzard: Hazzard in Hollywood in the year 2000. It also inspired two films, Dukes of Hazzard released in 2005 and a direct-to-video prequel Dukes of Hazzard: The Beginning in 2007.
