Joss Ackland is dead: The star of “White Mischief” and “Lethal Weapon 2” was 95 years old
British actor Joss Ackland has died at the age of 95, his family announced in a statement. No cause or location was given.
The theater and film actor has appeared in over 100 films and series, including movies White bullshit and years 1989 Lethal Weapon 2.
A statement from the family said: “With his distinctive voice and commanding presence, Ackland brought exceptional intensity and gravitas to his role. “He will be remembered as one of Britain’s most talented and beloved actors.”
Born in 1928 in London’s Ladbroke Grove, Ackland grew up in Kilburn, north London.
He appeared in dozens of films of the 80s and 90s, including: Mighty Ducks AND Bill and Ted’s Fake Trip.
In 2000 he received a CBE for services to acting.
There was no immediate information about survivors or memorial plans.
