MANILA, Philippines – Looking to bounce back from their debut, San Miguel Beer on Sunday defeated Meralco, 93-83, in the PBA Commissioner’s Cup at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
The Beermen took a strong lead behind last-minute import Ivan Aska and seven-time Most Valuable Player June Mar Fajardo, earning a wire-to-wire victory that improved the club’s standing after an initial loss to NLEX last Wednesday.
