9. To prepare for the physically demanding role, Lawrence subjected himself to various exercise methods.

“It’s a lot of training, but it’s actually really fun,” she told MTV News. “For about six weeks I have been practicing archery, rock climbing, tree climbing, martial arts, running and jumping. But also yoga and things like that to keep the cat character.”

10. On the last day of her six-week training program, Lawrence had an accident when she hit a wall while practicing, almost delaying production.

“I ran for it but my leg wouldn’t get up so I grabbed the wall with my belly,” Lawrence revealed Hollywood reporter. “My coach thought my spleen had ruptured. I had to do a CT scan and go into the tube that was taking this fiery fluid into my body.” Fortunately, nothing was broken and a bruised Lawrence was able to continue riding.

11. Hutcherson also trained extensively before filming, telling Collider in 2012: “I never really did it for the movie. I gained about 15 pounds of muscle, so it was a lot of chicken eating and a very high protein, low carb diet.”

12. As for Hemsworth, he revealed his older brother, Thor‘S Chris Hemsworthgave him surprising advice on how to prepare for the film.

“My brother texted me before the photo was taken and told me to lose weight,” Hemsworth revealed Hollywood reporter. “He said, ‘It’s called’ The hunger Gamesnot Eating Games!”
