This game was a special one for the NFL fans it witnessed a battle between two different generations of QBs within the NFL. When the dust settled, it was the older generation QB Matt Ryan who led his franchise to victory.
The game also witnessed a monumental effort of a fightback from the Jets QB Zach Wilson. The Jets’ fourth loss of the season was largely credited to their sluggish start in the game. QB Matt Ryan finished with 37 of 45 completed passes for 342 yards and 2 TD. New York did rally over the final two quarters and cut Atlanta’s lead to as little as three points in the fourth quarter. But a Michael Carter touchdown with a successful two-point conversion, the Falcons ran away with a 75-yard touchdown drive to eliminate New York’s hopes.
On top of coming back off of his best game, QB Zach Wilson reverted to his first-year rookie self under pressure from his first national audience matchup. The hope for this team would be to build upon this game in the Week 5 fixtures and gaining more victories.
