Police launch urgent search for missing camping teenagers: Four young men have not been seen since they got into a Ford Fiesta in North Wales on Sunday morning, leaving families ‘worried’

Police in North Wales have launched an urgent search for four teenagers who disappeared during a camping trip.

Jevon Hirst, Harvey Owen, Wilf Henderson and Hugo Morris, all said to be teenagers, were last seen getting into a silver Ford Fiesta on Sunday morning and have not been seen since.

It is understood the quartet were traveling near the Welsh coastal areas of Harlech and Porthmadog and may have been heading to Snowdonia. The car’s license plate is HY14 GVO.

The young men are believed to be from the Shrewsbury area and were due to return home from their trip on Monday morning, but none of them have made contact with friends and family and their phones are switched off.

They were believed to be experienced campers and had equipment with them, but the lack of contact was deemed inappropriate and friends said their families were “worried they were sick”.

Harvey’s mother shared the North Wales Police appeal post on Facebook and wrote: ‘I’m terribly worried, one of these boys is my son Harvey. Please share and tag anyone in Wales or pass on any information you have.” .’
