Taylor Swift’s “Punted” music from a Philadelphia radio station until the end of the Eagles-Chiefs game

Q102 listeners in Philadelphia won’t be hearing any Taylor Swift music this weekend: The popular radio station says the city’s football team doesn’t need any distractions ahead of its game against the Kansas City Chiefs (and Swift beau Travis Kelce) on Monday night.
“The Eagle/Chiefs Game is on Monday night,” Q102 anchor and program director Buster Satterfield said in a press release, “and we Birds need to stay focused. Q102 Loves Taylor Swift as much as the rest of the world, but this weekend the only Swift and Kelce we recognize are playing for the birds.”
Kelce’s brother, center Jason Kelce, plays for the Eagles, as does point guard D’Andre Swift.
Swift Q102’s final song of the weekend will air today at 5 PM ET. Swift is expected to return to the station’s playlist on Tuesday after the game (and the station’s good-natured gain in publicity).
“We need to focus this weekend, so we had to take Taylor Swift off the playlist,” Satterfield said earlier this week on the show Good morning Philadelphia.
Swift is currently in Brazil as part of her Eras Tour – playing in Rio de Janeiro from tonight through Sunday, before heading to São Paulo next weekend. No performances are scheduled for Monday evening.
