Go Ahead Eagles had a decent start in the new season. They have won only one game out of three that they have played. The win came against Sparta Rotterdam. It was a 2-0 scoreline after the end of 90 minutes. It was their first win of the season.

In the previous season at the Eerste Divisie, Go Ahead Eagles were in great form. They just lost seven matches in the whole season. The eagles had 77 points after 38 games.
